- 1/3 cup buttermilk OR 1/3 cup whole milk mixed with 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoon espresso powder
- 1/3 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1 tablespoon espresso powder
- 4-6 tablespoons cream, half & half or milk
- 1 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon light corn syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick/4 tablespoons) butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 tablespoon cream, half & half or milk
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (use imitation vanilla for a pure white color)
- 1/4 teaspoon espresso powder
- pinch salt (omit if using salted butter)
- chocolate covered espresso beans
